Every Sunday and Monday Publix offers an item for 1 cent when you buy $10 worth of items (can be $10 before coupons!!) If you don't have coupons, still a great deal.
This week's item is Publix family size frozen pizza (choice of pepperoni, 4 cheese or supreme.) This week on sale Stouffer's Skillet meals are buy one get one free ($5.19 total for 2 meals , Chicken Alfredo is great). Publix 2 liter soda are 2/$1. Immaculate Baking Co Cookie Dough is buy one get one free (B1G1F)for $1.75 each. These are the best cookies. I think the chocolate chip are better than Nestle Refrigerated cookies. Fresh express salad is $2.50.
$5.19 2 pasta dinners
1.00 2 2 liter sodas
1.75 1 pack cookie dough (makes 24 cookies dessert + extra for snacks)
2.50 bag salad (good for several meals for 2)
Total 10.44 before tax.
Then add the 1 cent pizza and salad dressing already at home and 3 dinners for $10-$12

I was at Publix on Northfield in Murfreesboro yesterday and the item was publix brand coffee. The great part is that the $10 is your before coupon total. This week Publix has Betty Crocker potatoes on sale B1G1F (buy one get one free ) and there was a recent coupon for 40 cents off 1. That makes them 5 cents per box. Through today at Publix , Birds Eye Voila is on sale for Buy one get one free. That makes them $2.50 each. A great deal for a meal for 2. Even better are 2 options, on the door of the freezer is a coupon dispenser with coupons for $1.25 off each one. That makes them $1.25 each. If your store does not have the coupons on the door, look for a coupon book at the entrance on one of the ad stands or in a paper display that says Fresh, Flavorful Frozen on the front. There is a coupon in that booklet for $2 off 2 making them $1.50 each. 75cents per person. Also, baby carrots are

My First Post-Wilson County Fair

The best deal I found today is the Wilson County Fair. With the cost of everything going up, it is a great value in entertainment. Fairs are generally for kids. We do not have any and had a blast. The admission is $7 each. We were there 4 hours. Keep in mind we are not people who ride rides. We enjoyed walking around looking at the exhibits. The photos are my favorite. Especially those in the junior division. It is just amazing what talent some of our younger has. There are cute animals in the livestock halls and a classic car show with about 50 cars. We liked that alot. The Fiddlers Jamboree Area is always great. Today was a tractor pull. I had never been to one before and it was fun. We sat and watched a little. They even had to have a pull-off in the ladies 5500lb division because 2 made it to the end and they had to decide a winner.
The fair has lots of commerical exhibits, rides and food vendors. They have ride specials every day where you can buy a wristband for a flat price and ride all you want. Alot of the food vendors are costly but there are great deals to be found with the local people who have booths set up. The boy Scouts are selling drinks for $1. Low on cash? Many of the booths in the exhibit area were giving out free snacks like popcorn and popsicles. There is a church that gives out free bottled water every year. Another gives free lemonade and cookbooks. I have already picked out a new recipe to try this week. The bank also gives free lemonade.
One of the sponsors is Vault Beverage. They had several booths set up giving out samples (which are great-we plan to buy this soon- Vault Zero is fantastic). They had a wheel to spin and win prizes. There was also a Smuckers Sandwich booth giving out the frozen peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and cute little lunch box holders for the sandwiches with a coupon inside.
We did not pass on the food area. I still consider it a good deal. I can't leave without an ear of roasted corn. Honey had a sausage and peppers. Total for the trip was $25 for admission, food, beverages and entertainment (parking was free). We could not go to a movie for this!! That is why the Wilson County Fair is my deal of the day for Middle Tennessee
